Scouting Programs

Scouting America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, providing programs for young people that build character and leadership.

Youth Protection Training

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA and Venturing programs.

Scouting has taught me a lot about leadership and how I work with others, including how to be a leader outside of Scouts.

One of the things I like most about Scouting is the community I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. We’ve gone through so much as a Troop; from Scout outings to our Philmont Trek, Scouting is where I’ve made some of my best friends.

Scouting taught me that anybody can be a leader. I was a shy little 13-year-old girl when I joined. My experiences in Scouting have shaped me into an amazing, confident, and successful leader.

Through Scouting, I learned things that I believe will help me as an adult. I learned how to manage my finances and clearly communicate with others. I’ve learned first aid skills and how to be a responsible citizen. Scouting is like college for life.
