Wood Badge is “the premier adult leadership training program of Scouting America.” It is an intensive training that covers leadership, communication, mentoring, teamwork, duty to God and country, and personal growth. All of this is taught in a Scouting atmosphere, filled with fun, camaraderie, and practical applications. Participants are challenged throughout the course, and they emerge ready to put into practice what they have learned.
Additionally, what Scouters learn at Wood Badge will benefit them in Scouting, in their family life, and in their professional life. Wood Badge is for any adult leader or professional Scouter — Scoutmasters, Den Leaders, Cubmasters, Merit Badge Counselors, Crew Advisors, Unit Coaches, Skippers, Assistant Scoutmasters, Field Executives, and so on!
Wood Badge is fun, it is intense, it will grow your Scouting network, and you will use what you learn, in every part of your life. The staff has already begun preparing. And if you haven’t yet taken Wood Badge, we’d love to see you there!
