Adventure, Leadership, and Fun: Antonio — 2026 Cub Scout of the Year — Pack 276, Glendale

Enthusiasm, leadership, and a love for adventure define Antonio’s Scouting journey. As the 2026 Cub Scout of the Year, he exemplifies how dedication and a playful spirit can inspire peers and strengthen his pack.

Antonio is a Webelos in Cub Scouts Pack 276 in Glendale, entering his sixth year in Scouting. Since joining as a Lion, he has participated in nearly every achievement, earned multiple shooting awards, and consistently contributed to fundraising efforts that support his Pack.

“My favorite part, you know, I actually have two. It's camping and popcorn selling. My favorite part about camping is when we do crawdad fishing. I catched a colossal sized crawdad about five times.”

Antonio actively engages in every Pack activity, from Council events to Scouting for Food, and he and his family have attended Family Camp for four consecutive years. Last summer, he attended two separate camps and helped his team win the Crawdad Catching Competition twice.

Beyond camping and fundraising, Antonio channels his creativity into community theater and Pack skits, encouraging and entertaining his fellow Scouts.

“I am very creative when it comes to skits. Like my perfume skit… I created it when I was at Camp Raymond. I got this spray thing from the shop and I was like, 'Hm, maybe I could use this in a skit."

Living the Scout Oath and Law

Antonio uses the Scout Oath and Law as a guide in and out of Scouting, showing kindness, helpfulness, and dedication in everyday life.

“The oath is a big promise to me and the law I mostly use in and out of scouts. Those two things are very important to me.”

Antonio’s enthusiasm, determination, and leadership make him a standout example of Scouting in action. As the 2026 Cub Scout of the Year, Antonio exemplifies the spirit of Scouting—embracing adventure, sharing his talents, and inspiring those around him through leadership and creativity.
