Grab your passport and get ready — Camp Raymond is calling! Nestled between the Kaibab and Coconino National Forests, just 30 miles from Flagstaff and over 6,700 feet above sea level, Camp Raymond is one of Arizona's most beautiful destinations for Cub Scout families.

Elk, deer, and pronghorn antelope roam the meadows. The San Francisco Peaks tower on the horizon. For a few days, this is home base for your family's grand adventure across 160+ acres of forest, fields, and fun.

Cub Advancement
Who can come? Everyone — Cub Scouts, siblings, parents, grandparents, and relatives. All families stay together at their campsite while exploring amazing destinations. Youth must be accompanied by a parent or adult family member aged 21 or older. All attendees must be registered for the event.

Refund Policy: Camp fees are nonrefundable. Exceptions are made for death in the family, documented illness/injury, or military transfer. Campers who leave camp early do not receive refunds. All refund requests go through the camp registrar — camp staff cannot authorize refunds.

🧭 Arrival & Camp Life

Clearing Customs

You'll be welcomed by camp staff the moment you arrive. Here's your step-by-step guide to settling into Camp Raymond and making the most of your stay.

Arrive Friday, 1:00–1:30 PM. Camp staff will greet and guide you through check-in. Late arrivals must check in at Headquarters/Health Lodge.

Submit medical forms for every participant: BSA Annual Health & Medical Record (Parts A, B1 & B2) with immunization records and a copy of your insurance card.

Receive your passport packet: campsite assignment, full activity schedule, Camp Raymond map, and meal wristbands. Allergy/dietary procedures provided if applicable.

Set up your base camp. Sites are flat and scenic with running water, shelters, and latrines. Bring your own tent. All meals are served in the dining hall — "The Bistro."

Check out by 11:00 AM on the final morning after the last activity. Always sign out at Headquarters when leaving — even for a short trip off-property.
Good to Know
Health Lodge
Staffed 24/7. All injuries — even minor — must be reported.
Dietary Needs
Flag allergies during registration. Confirm at check-in.
Hydration
At 6,700 ft elevation, drink plenty of water every day.
Hand Washing
Required before all meals. Hand-washing station behind the Bistro.
Lost & Found
At Headquarters. Held 2 weeks, then donated.
Trading Post
Snacks, souvenirs, gear essentials — open throughout the session.
Scout Uniform: Cub Scouts are encouraged to wear their full field uniform (Class A) for evening flag, dinner, and campfire. During the day, a Scout tee and shorts work great. Non-BSA family members should dress conservatively and family-appropriately. Label all belongings with your last name!

Find Your Destination

Camp Raymond is approximately 10.8 miles outside Parks, AZ — west of Flagstaff, easily accessible from I-40.

From I-40
Take Exit 178 (Parks Rd.) and head south
Then Follow
Garland Prairie Rd. — turn left on Boy Scout Camp Rd.
