Crew 2222, proudly chartered in San Tan Valley by American Legion Post 97, is gearing up for an exciting trek to Philmont Scout Ranch
Excitement is building for Venturing Crew 2222, based in San Tan Valley and proudly chartered by American Legion Post 97, as they gear up for their next big adventure—an unforgettable trek to Philmont Scout Ranch! Crew 2222 is a tight-knit group where everyone feels welcome to bring their skills, interests, and ideas to the table.
What inspired this Crew to choose Philmont? Many members have attended other Philmont programs, including NAYLE, PLC, and the Philmont Family Adventure, and their experiences convinced the rest of the Crew that returning to Philmont was the perfect choice for this year’s trek.
Preparation has already brought some memorable moments. On one early outing, the Crew selected a trail based on reviews—only to find it far tougher than expected. But challenges like that are all part of the adventure, and the Crew has enjoyed getting back to nature and experiencing a different kind of ‘live stream.’”
Looking ahead, the Crew is especially excited to summit Baldy and spend time with a burro—two experiences that promise to make this trek truly unforgettable.
