Recognizing dedicated supporters who have contributed $1,000 or more to the Grand Canyon Council endowment, helping secure the future of Scouting in our communities

We recognize volunteers who have shown their commitment to the future of Scouting by contributing to our endowment fund. While often less visible, the endowment plays a vital role in our long-term success by helping provide funding that sustains the council, its camps, and staff—ensuring continued support for our units.
The James E. West Fellowship—named in honor of Scouting’s first professional Scouter, who laid the groundwork for the movement—recognizes individuals who have either personally contributed at least $1,000 to the council endowment or have been honored through a contribution made in their name.
We proudly recognize the following 2024 James E. West Fellows:
- Wiltz Bethancourt IV
- Carolyn Brandenberger
- Connor Carlson
- Charles Daschbach
- Stephen Houghton
- Shannon O’Hara-Haworth
- Mark McIntyre
- Robert Pratt
- Stephanie Russell
- Thomas Walsh
We extend our deepest gratitude to this year’s James E. West Fellows for their generous commitment to the future of Scouting. Their contributions ensure that the mission and impact of our council continue for generations to come. Through their support of the endowment, they help build a lasting legacy—strengthening our camps, supporting our staff, and equipping the youth we serve. Thank you for investing in the promise of Scouting.
